Monkey Bread
Recipe from Patty Mc Clean
3 cans of refrigerator biscuits
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ cup raisins
½ cup pecans, chopped
8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
½ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a bundt pan.
Cut biscuits into fourths.
In a baggie, combine sugar and cinnamon. Add biscuits and coat with mixture. Place biscuits in pan (don’t worry about being neat) and sprinkle with raisins and pecans.
In a small pan over medium high heat, add butter and brown sugar and bring to a boil and cook for a few minutes until the sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour over biscuits.
Bake for 20 minutes and check to see if it is getting too brown. Place foil over top if too brown, and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until cooked. Remove and turn upside down on a serving dish. Serve.
