At the deli counter at grocery stores, you can often buy as many olives as you like. This way you don’t have to buy a whole jar that you might not use right away.
1 cup of mayonnaise
¼ cup pitted black olives
salt and pepper
squeeze of lemon juice
baguette cut on diagonal in ¼-inch slices or crackers
In a food processor, add all ingredients and blend until it is fairly smooth.
Place in decorative serving bowl and place croutons around dip. Garnish with an olive and a sprig of fresh herb.
